Plan your visit

The Ice Loop sits in the Central Plaza at City Square Park, 1001 7th Avenue in Uptown Marion, and skates daily in season for anyone with their own skates, with a Skate Shack warming house, hourly ice resurfacing during rental hours, outdoor heaters, and concessions in the Depot. The city’s live page still shows prior-season text, so check it before going rather than relying on a date from anywhere else: 2026–27 dates, hours, and prices are not yet announced there. The loop becomes a water feature and event space in summer, so skating is a winter attraction only.

What makes this rink distinctive

A loop, not a rectangle: the Ice Loop traces a skating path through the Central Plaza in Uptown Marion, and because it is refrigerated it is not entirely dependent on the weather, with published warm- and cold-weather operating thresholds. It debuted in December 2025 as a new winter anchor for Uptown, and in summer the same plaza becomes a water feature and event space.
