Buy ahead once tickets open on November 3 — Avalon's rink is a known draw for the north Atlanta suburbs and December weekends fill. If you can, skate a weekday evening (3–9 PM) for the same lights with thinner crowds, and fold the visit into dinner at Avalon.

What makes this rink distinctive

Avalon built its Plaza rink as a deliberate nod to Rockefeller Center — a tree-anchored rink at the center of a mixed-use development, opening each year with the Lighting of Avalon ceremony.
