Plan your visit
Festival admission is free and the lights run nightly 5–9 PM, but no skating price or skating hours were published at listing time — check the City of Myrtle Beach before going, since the rink’s ticket details aren’t posted yet. The festival sits at Pavilion Place on the Boardwalk, produced by the city’s Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department with the Chamber and CVB, so pair skating with the walk-through lights and the beachfront.
What makes this rink distinctive
The city doesn’t hedge about the surface: its own announcement says “The skating rink will be real ice!” — with an exclamation mark, in parentheses, as if it knows exactly what Florida and South Carolina visitors assume. The festival is city-produced, covered, and overlooking the beach, and it has returned every year since its inaugural 37-day season.
Official tickets and session information
Schedules, prices and closures can change. Check the venue's own site before setting out.
Season status: November 27, 2026 – January 2, 2027 per two independent 2026 guides (Marina Inn at Grande Dunes winter guide + November guide); the festival traditionally begins the day after Thanksgiving. One 2026 guide gives November 26 as the start — that date is NOT used: it matches the inaugural season’s window, and the inaugural copy’s “37 consecutive days” matches November 27 – January 2. Real ice (city announcement): “The inaugural event will feature a covered, outdoor ice-skating rink… (The skating rink will be real ice!)”; corroborated by a 2026 guide (“glide on the festival’s real ice rink”). Skating price and skating hours were not published and are not stated.
