Plan your visit
The rink sits inside the resort’s Christmas Village, so a skating visit pairs with the rest of Lone Star Christmas: ICE! featuring Harry Potter, snow tubing on Snow Flow Mountain, gingerbread decorating, photos with Santa and the resort’s holiday shows. Skating is ticketed separately or as part of an activity pass — check the official site for current session prices and times, and book ahead on popular weekend and school-break dates. Day visitors do not need to stay overnight. Note the distinction: ICE! is a walk-through sculpture attraction kept at 9°F with its own ticket; the skating rink is a separate activity.
What makes this rink distinctive
A resort-scale Christmas celebration built around real ice in two forms — a 6,000-square-foot skating rink made with real ice, in the resort’s own words, plus two million pounds of hand-carved ice in the ICE! attraction. For 2026 the sculpture theme is Harry Potter, the first time the resort has used it.
