Tickets are not sold at the rink — buy them online by session before you go, and arrive about 15 minutes early to sign the waiver. Most Mondays and Tuesdays are closed for private rentals, and the rink is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Lockers take cash only. Pairing a skate with the Christkindlmarkt works best November 21–December 24, while the market surrounds the ice.
What makes this rink distinctive
From November 21 to December 24 the rink sits in the middle of the Carmel Christkindlmarkt, the German Christmas market built around Carter Green — you skate surrounded by the market's wooden huts and its 33-foot Glühwein Pyramid. After the market closes on Christmas Eve, the ice stays through January, hosting the Festival of Ice (January 15–16, 2027) and the Carmel Winter Games (January 23, 2027).
