Plan your visit

Chapman Hill is Durango’s in-town skating hub at 500 Florida Road, with a refrigerated rink, a pavilion with concessions and seating, and an adjacent ski hill. In the Fall/Winter 2026 guide, public Ice Skate Nights run Fridays 7:30–9 PM and Saturdays 6:30–8 PM, with music, lights, and skating for all ages; the full rink schedule is posted at DurangoCO.gov/ChapmanHill and times are subject to change. Admission and skate-rental prices for 2026–27 are not published on the city facility page, so check the city schedule before going. The rink converts to roller skating in spring and summer, so ice is a winter offering only.

What makes this rink distinctive

An in-town rink and ski hill on one site: skate under lights on Friday and Saturday nights, then walk to the rope tows next door. Chapman Hill is a city recreation complex, not a resort — public sessions, hockey leagues, figure skating, and lessons on a refrigerated sheet that becomes a roller-skating destination in summer. Its draw is the combination: affordable local skating and skiing within Durango itself, rather than a drive to a resort.
