Plan your visit
The rink opens November 14, 2026 and runs through February 21, 2027 at Shastice Park. It is a completely outdoor facility, so the district advises checking conditions — and calling the rink at (530) 926-1715 — before making the trip, as weather can force closures. Public skate sessions run 90 minutes, with the ice resurfaced between sessions; session times are posted on the district's rink calendar. Admission and rentals accept cash and credit cards.
What makes this rink distinctive
At 85 by 200 feet, the district bills it as the only National Hockey League regulation-sized outdoor rink in California — a full-size sheet under open sky, with Mt. Shasta itself as the backdrop. Season passes include rentals, admission to all public sessions and group lessons.
